“Something went wrong with the world, and now nearly all the insects are dead and crops everywhere are failing. Entomologist Cassandra and her engineer brother Alexander follow the migration of the last monarch butterflies in the world. Their path intersects with a truffle farm where four leery survivors hunkered down for the oncoming collapse of society are fighting to preserve their livelihood.”
